Yes- I think this recipe is the absolute winner!
You can eat it every day and share it with your kids and babies too. It contains a balanced ratio of easy-to-digest natural sugars, minerals, fiber, and healthy fats.
Is Petits Filous fromage frais something you add to your family shopping basket?
Turns out the famous kids’ treat is in fact made from cheese culture. A wave of ‘ surprised’ posts hit social media at the beginning of this year. And it just happened at the same time when I was in a process of ‘weaning’ one cute 7 months old baby from mother’s milk to solids.
Although the scrummy treats inspired by the French cuisine I mentioned, taste and look exactly like yogurt, it’s actually made from fromage frais.
Fromage frais is made from a cheese culture, not yogurt culture.
There’s a slight difference in the taste as well as the texture, with fromage frias being a thicker consistency and is technically a ‘soft cheese’.
If you are struggling to believe it just take a look at the Petit Filous website.
I am here to offer you a natural alternative.
Please bear with me.
I can imagine what you’re maybe thinking- the ‘real deal is way too yummy to be recreated…?
All I can say: The only way you will believe me- is to try it and taste it!
Make some for your kids and for you too.
The recipe is very simple:
Place in the blender: WILD BLUEBERRIES
AVOCADO
BANANA
in ratio 1:1:1.
Blend until totally smooth.
And
Voilà…
The best-tasting blended baby superfood is ready!
All 3 ingredients must be ripe for this recipe to be a success.
Frozen wild blueberries are good enough alternative if you don’t happen to live close to wild blueberry fields.
For best taste and optimal nutritional value- turn on the blender only once it is time to eat. ( yes- you can store this in a closed glass jar until the next day- but freshly blended is really THE BEST!)
I like to use a Bullet blender for smaller amounts of baby foods. ( Magicbullet, Nuntribullet, or the smallest version of these: Babybullet)

If you make more than needed- close the jug of bullet blender with its lid and store it for later.

And what goodness is in a banana? Other than being rich in vitamin B6, bananas are a good source of vitamin C, dietary fiber, and manganese. Bananas are also fat-free, cholesterol-free, and virtually sodium-free. Bananas contain three natural sugars – sucrose, fructose, and glucose – as such a great quick source of energy.
I could go on into much more detail about the natural goodness and healing power of all 3 ingredients. But… I think your taste buds and the way your body will feel after digesting this treat well ‘speak’ louder than my words…
Try and don’t forget to share if you loved it!
